Points
Points (abbreviated as PTS) are the primary metric used to rank songs on the King Warz Charts. Points are calculated weekly based on a combination of streams, past performance, and chart placement. This system reflects both the current popularity and ongoing impact of a song over time.
How Points Are Calculated
1. Streams and Bonus Points:
- Each week, a song earns 10 chart points for every stream it receives during that week.
- Additionally, songs receive 2 bonus chart points for every stream they accumulated in the two weeks prior to the current charting week. This incentivizes sustained performance over time.
2. Chart Placement Points:
- The top 60 songs on the chart (including ties) receive unit points based on their ranking.
- The distribution is linear, with:
- 60 points awarded to the song at #1,
- 59 points to #2,
decreasing by one point per position down to 1 point for the song at #60.
3. Variant Rules:
* When a song has multiple variants (e.g., standard and live versions), the version that receives more streams in a given week is the one that charts. However, the streams from all variants are combined to calculate the total PTS for that week.
* Variants are tied to specific albums. If a live version charts, the album featuring that live version gains points, not the original album with the standard version.
